Zoho One includes access to over 45 Zoho applications as part of the subscription, but not all of them are enabled by default. Administrators use the Applications section of the Zoho One Admin Panel to add and activate applications for their organisation, controlling which tools are available for assignment to users.
Accessing the Applications Section
Sign in to Zoho One as an administrator and open the Admin Panel. Select Applications from the left-hand navigation menu. This section displays a list of all available Zoho applications, separated into those already added to the organisation and those available to add.
Adding a New Application
- Browse the available applications. The Applications page shows all Zoho products included with your Zoho One plan. Applications not yet enabled will appear in the Available to Add section.
- Click Add on the desired application. Locate the application you wish to enable and click the Add or Enable button associated with it.
- Configure initial settings. Some applications will prompt you to accept terms of service or configure basic settings before activation, such as choosing a data region or a subdomain for the application.
- Confirm activation. Once any required setup is complete, confirm the addition. The application will now appear in your organisation's active application list.
Making Applications Available to Users
Adding an application to the organisation does not automatically grant access to all users. After enabling an application, you will typically need to assign it to individual users, groups, or departments through the Users section or by configuring conditional assignment rules. This ensures that only the users who need a particular application can access it, keeping licences tidy and the user experience uncluttered.
Zoho Marketplace Applications
In addition to native Zoho applications, Zoho One supports the addition of certain third-party applications via the Zoho Marketplace. These may be added through the Applications section or directly from the Marketplace, and they follow the same assignment process as native Zoho products once enabled.
Note: Only Super Administrators and Administrators have permission to add applications in Zoho One. Adding an application may trigger an initial setup wizard for that product; ensure you have the necessary information ready before starting the activation process.
