Announcing Zoho POS Global Edition: Early Access for Partners and Customers

Zoho POS Global Edition went live for partners and customers on 28 September 2026, opening early access. It extends Zoho POS to all countries that don't have a dedicated country edition, with the exception of France, Spain, Vatican City, and Australia. It gives partners a single, ready-to-deploy point of sale solution to offer clients across those markets, and is supported on both the US and EU data centres.

Broad Coverage, Full Feature Set

Global Edition customers get the complete, already-live Zoho POS feature set. Zoho states that nothing supported in other editions is being held back from the Global Edition.

Configuration-Based Tax Handling

Country editions have a fixed tax structure. The Global Edition works differently: there is no on/off switch for tax, tax isn't mandatory, and it is applied only when you have configured it.

Order typeTax priority, highest first
Door DeliveryCustomer Tax, then Item Tax, then Organisation/Location Default Tax
Fulfil Now / Store PickupItem Tax, then Organisation/Location Default Tax
  • Users with the required role access can change or remove item-level tax.
  • A tax registration number (TRN) can be saved under Tax Settings and will appear on print templates.

Location-Based Pricing

Pricing follows a location-based model by country. Where a currency isn't natively supported, billing defaults to US dollars based on the country's assigned pricing tier. See Zoho POS pricing for the figures in your region.

Finance App Integration

Check this before you sell it. Only businesses using the Global Edition of the Zoho Finance apps can integrate with Zoho POS Global Edition. Australia, Singapore, Nigeria, Kenya, Mexico, and Germany already have live country editions within the Finance apps, so businesses on those editions cannot integrate with Zoho POS Global Edition. Australia also stays restricted from Zoho POS until it gets its own dedicated edition.

Other Integrations

Existing shipping and payment integrations remain available as they are.

Is your country covered? Zoho's announcement defines the Global Edition as covering "non-edition countries" and doesn't list them. It also says the Finance app integration depends on which Finance edition a business uses. Confirm with Zoho that your client's country has no dedicated edition, and which Finance app edition they are on, before you promise a deployment.
