Zoho Bigin lets you import Associated Products in bulk and automatically link them to their respective pipeline records, rather than having to associate products one deal at a time. This is particularly useful when migrating sales data into Bigin from another system, where each deal may involve several products or services at once.
Associated Products keep track of the products or services linked to a pipeline record, giving you a complete view of exactly what's being sold in every deal. In Bigin, products are associated with pipeline records rather than directly with contacts. Because a pipeline record is itself linked to a contact, the products connect back to that contact indirectly through the deal.
Consider a SaaS company migrating into Bigin whose deals typically include several products at once, such as a subscription plan, user licences, add-on modules, and implementation services. Importing pipeline records (deals) on their own doesn't capture that full sales context. Being able to import the associated products alongside them, in bulk, ensures every migrated deal carries its complete and accurate product detail rather than an incomplete summary.
This sits within Bigin's general import capability, which supports major spreadsheet formats such as XLS, XLSX, CSV, and VCF across the Deals, Contacts, Companies, and Products modules. Bigin also keeps a detailed import history, so you always know exactly which files have been uploaded and when. Beyond adding brand new records, import can also be used to update existing records in bulk, which is useful for cleaning up large-scale changes rather than editing records one at a time.
If you're planning to eventually upgrade from Bigin to Zoho CRM, it's worth knowing that Associated Products migrate across as part of that process, with one exception: if you're upgrading specifically to Zoho CRM's Standard edition, the Associated Products subform won't be migrated, since Standard edition doesn't support subforms at all.
