Can we use Territories just on Contacts?

Territories are an Zoho CRM Enterprise Edition feature.

Territories can be used to segment your data. Most people would associate Territories with geography - for example US, Europe, Asia. However they can be used for Product Line, Divisions, Sales Teams, etc.

In a Business to Consumer (B2C) situation where Accounts don't exist, or in theory a Contact can be added to the CRM without being associated to an Account. The question is would automatic Territory assignment work and / or can you apply Territories to that contact.

Unfortunately as per the current design, you wont be able to create a territory rule without an account record. Since, the territory rule will be applied only based on an account record present within the organisation. So Territories do not work in a B2C situation or a standalone Contact.
