Component filters are dynamic and can be applied directly on the component without impacting its configuration. In addition to the existing criteria filters specific to each component, these new component filters empower individual users to apply personalised filters, enabling them to obtain the desired results. This enhances the flexibility to view diverse data perspectives on each component, thereby enhancing data analysis capabilities. Users have a wide range of options, including user, picklist, date, and date/time fields from both Primary and Secondary modules, to customise their data view. A maximum of two filter fields can be configured directly within the component configuration.
Once the filter fields are set up, you have the option to apply the filter values temporarily by clicking 'Apply'. Alternatively, clicking 'Apply and Save' ensures that the filter values remain active until manually removed, even upon refreshing the dashboard or navigating away and returning to the page.
Component filters will be supported for all types of dashboard components except Anomaly Detector. These filters will not be applicable for Comparator when its parameters are of different modules. Filters applied in the Dashboard tab will not be carried over to the Home page.
There are instances where dashboards or their components are deleted, either due to perceived redundancy or accidental deletions. However, there may be a subsequent need to retrieve these deleted items for viewing similar data or creating new dashboards. Additionally, accidental deletions are always a possibility. The Recently Deleted feature enables users to effortlessly restore deleted dashboards and components within 30 days, mitigating the impact of accidental deletions and facilitating data recovery.
