The AI Settings section in Zoho Flow allows organisation owners and administrators to enable Zia, Zoho's built-in AI assistant, and configure the AI-powered capabilities that can be used within flows. Once enabled, these features make it possible to build intelligent, agentic workflows that go beyond simple rule-based automation.
To configure AI features, navigate to Settings in the left-hand menu of your Zoho Flow dashboard and select AI. From here you can enable Zia and choose which AI capabilities are made available to your organisation's flows.
Zia is Zoho's AI engine, and enabling it within Zoho Flow unlocks the ability to use AI-driven actions and intelligent processing within your automations. Once Zia is switched on at the organisation level, the AI capabilities listed below become available for use in individual flows.
The AI Setup configuration covers three primary capability areas:
Flow Generation uses AI to help you create new flows from a natural language description. Rather than building a flow step by step from scratch, you can describe what you want the automation to do, and Zia will suggest or generate a flow structure based on your input. This significantly reduces the time needed to get a new automation up and running, particularly for users who are less familiar with the flow builder.
Zia Utilities provide a set of AI-powered actions that can be inserted into flows as individual steps. These utilities can perform tasks such as sentiment analysis, text summarisation, language translation, data extraction from unstructured text, and other intelligent processing operations. Enabling Zia Utilities makes these actions available in the flow builder for any flow in your organisation.
Agentic Actions enable Zoho Flow to operate as part of an agentic workflow, where AI agents can make decisions, call tools, and orchestrate multi-step processes autonomously. When configured, Zoho Flow can act as a tool that an AI agent invokes, or it can itself coordinate agent-driven tasks across connected applications. This capability is central to building sophisticated, AI-first automation pipelines that respond dynamically to changing data and conditions.
