Creating Dashboards in Zoho Analytics

Dashboards in Zoho Analytics bring together multiple reports, charts, and KPI widgets on a single page to give you and your team a unified, interactive view of your key metrics. They are the standard way to share analytical insights across an organisation whilst providing viewer-controlled filtering and drill-down capability.

Creating a New Dashboard

  1. Click the Create button in the top-left corner of your workspace and select New Dashboard.
  2. The Dashboard Editor opens. Use the left panel to browse available reports from your workspace.
  3. Drag reports onto the canvas to add them to the dashboard.
  4. Resize and reposition components using drag-and-drop.
  5. Add widgets, text elements, and images as required.
  6. Click Save and provide a name for the dashboard.

Components You Can Add

  • Reports: Any chart, pivot table, summary view, or tabular view from your workspace can be added. There is no fixed limit on the number of reports per dashboard.
  • KPI Widgets: Single-number displays and chart-based gauges for tracking key metrics, with comparison indicators and target progress tracking.
  • Text elements: Titles, paragraphs, and rich text blocks (which support tables, images, and embedded HTML) for labelling and contextual descriptions.
  • Images and GIFs: Visual assets with colour, brightness, contrast, crop, shadow, and rotation controls.
  • Embedded components: HTML iframe snippets to integrate external content such as maps or video.

Using Tabs

Dashboards support up to 10 tabs to help you organise related reports into logical sections. You can add tabs during creation, rename them, duplicate a tab with all its embedded components, or remove tabs you no longer need.

Layout and Sizing

Dashboard width can be set to a responsive web layout or a fixed pixel width (between 797 px and 4000 px) using the screen icon in the top-right corner. You can resize individual components by dragging their borders, apply fit-to-width, or use copy-paste to match the dimensions of another component.

User Filters

User filters allow dashboard viewers to interactively filter the data displayed across multiple reports at once. You can configure filters so they apply to all reports on the dashboard or only to selected ones, giving you fine-grained control over the viewer experience.
