Buttons in Zoho CRM act as triggers that perform a specific action when clicked. Alongside the system buttons Zoho CRM includes for common actions, your organisation can create custom buttons tailored to your own needs, such as connecting CRM to a third-party application, linking different CRM modules together, or opening a contact's address directly in Google Maps with a single click.
Custom buttons are created and managed from the Buttons tab on the Module Customization page, where you can add a new button, define the action it performs, and edit or remove existing buttons as needed.
Custom button management is now contextual, letting admins manage buttons directly from the element palette while customising a module's layout, rather than needing to switch over to a separate configuration screen. From within the layout editor, you can now:
Custom buttons can be placed in several locations within a module. Inside a record, a button can appear in the top bar of the Create page, the Edit page, or the Details page. It can also be placed in a related list's header, where it functions as a Mass Action button that runs against whichever records are currently selected in that related list.
Previously, custom buttons appeared one below the other in the order they were originally created, and users could reorder them individually as needed. Now, buttons on the Records page follow the order set in the layout editor instead. Users can still pin specific buttons and sort the pinned ones according to their own preference.
This is available on Enterprise and Ultimate editions, across every module that already supports custom buttons.
