Customising Your Zoho Desk Help Center Home Page

Customising Your Zoho Desk Help Center Home Page

The Zoho Desk Help Center home page can be customised using a simple drag-and-drop editor, letting you control which widgets appear and how tabs are organised, without needing to write any code.

Note: Users need the Support Channels administrative permission to access this feature.

Default widgets

Zoho Desk includes a set of built-in widgets you can add to your Help Center pages: Announcements, Community Categories, Customer Happiness Ratings, KB Categories, Modules, Most Discussed Topics, Participants, Popular Articles, Popular Topics, Recent Articles, Recent Topics, Related Articles, Sticky Posts, and Top Contributors.

Adding widgets

  1. Go to Setup, then Channels, then Help Center.
  2. Select the relevant Help Center, then Help Center Customization.
  3. Click Customize on your published theme, then select Widgets.
  4. Drag your chosen widgets onto the page, or click Custom Widget to build your own.

Managing tabs

Rename, reorder, or disable tabs like Knowledge Base, Community, or Tickets to suit your Help Center's structure. For example, if you use Community purely for announcements, you can rename the tab accordingly.

Known limitation: You can rename tabs, but customising the description text shown under each tab (Knowledge Base, Community, Tickets) is not currently supported, only the tab name itself.

Once you're happy with your layout, click Publish to make the changes live.
