Dashboards in Zoho CRM – Charts, KPIs, Zia Insights & Advanced Analytics

Dashboards in Zoho CRM

Dashboards in Zoho CRM give you a visual, real-time overview of your business performance. By combining multiple dashboard components onto a single screen, you can monitor sales activity, track targets, spot anomalies, and gain AI-powered insights without having to run individual reports. Dashboards require the Reports permission to be enabled for your profile.

Types of Dashboard Components

Charts

Charts present your CRM data as a visual graph, making trends and comparisons easy to interpret at a glance. You can create bar charts, line charts, area charts, pie charts, and donut charts from any standard or custom report. Each chart can be filtered, drilled into, and refreshed independently within the dashboard.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

KPI widgets display a single headline metric — such as total revenue, open deals, or conversion rate — alongside a comparison period so you can immediately see whether performance is improving or declining. KPIs support multiple value display formats and can be colour-coded based on threshold rules.

Target Meters

Target Meters show progress towards a defined goal. You set a target value and the meter fills as actual performance accumulates, giving sales managers a quick read on how far the team is from hitting quota. Targets can be set per user, team, or for the entire organisation.

Funnel Charts

Funnel charts visualise how records move through sequential stages — for example, from Lead through to Closed Won. Each stage of the funnel shows the count or value of records at that point, helping you identify where drop-off is highest and where intervention is most needed.

Waterfall Charts

Waterfall charts break down a cumulative result into its contributing parts, showing which factors increased or decreased the total. This is particularly useful for revenue analysis — visualising where gains and losses occurred over a period.

Sankey Charts

Sankey charts illustrate the flow of records or values between categories. The width of each flow band is proportional to the quantity it represents. In Zoho CRM, Sankey charts are useful for mapping how leads from different sources convert through deal stages.

Butterfly and Tornado Charts

Butterfly (also called Tornado) charts place two datasets back to back on a horizontal axis, making side-by-side comparisons straightforward — for instance, comparing this quarter's performance against the same quarter last year, or comparing two sales teams.

Treemap Charts

Treemaps display hierarchical data as nested rectangles, where the size of each rectangle corresponds to its value. They are effective for comparing proportions across categories — such as revenue contribution by product line or by territory — in a compact, colour-coded layout.

Anomaly Detector

The Anomaly Detector is an AI-powered component that analyses your historical data to establish a baseline, then flags data points that fall outside expected ranges. It surfaces unusual spikes or drops in metrics such as deal closures or lead generation, allowing you to investigate and respond before issues escalate.

Comparators

Comparator widgets place two related metrics side by side so you can evaluate relative performance. A common use case is comparing actual revenue to target revenue, or this month's lead count to last month's.

Quadrant Analysis

Quadrant Analysis plots records across two axes to group them into four quadrants. In a sales context, you might plot deal size against probability of closing — allowing you to quickly identify high-value, high-probability deals that deserve priority attention.

Zone Analysis

Zone Analysis segments records into defined performance bands or territories, helping you understand how your data is distributed across regions, product categories, or other groupings. It provides a geographical or categorical breakdown of CRM metrics.

Cohort Analysis

Cohort Analysis groups records by a shared characteristic — such as the month they were created — and then tracks how that group performs over time. It is particularly valuable for understanding customer retention and how conversion rates change across different cohorts of leads.

Zia-Powered Dashboard Features

Zia Dashboard Insights

Zia Dashboard Insights uses Zoho's AI engine to automatically analyse the components on your dashboard and surface relevant observations in plain language. Rather than having to interpret charts yourself, Zia highlights what matters — such as a sudden dip in win rate or an unexpectedly strong performing region — so you can act quickly.

Zia Strategy Influencer

Zia Strategy Influencer identifies the factors that most significantly influence a given outcome, such as deal closure rate. It analyses patterns across your CRM data and presents the top variables contributing positively or negatively, helping managers make data-driven strategic decisions.

Stage Component

The Stage Component provides a visual representation of how records are distributed across defined pipeline stages. It gives an at-a-glance view of deal or lead progression, helping teams identify bottlenecks within the pipeline and prioritise actions accordingly.

Permissions and Access

Access to Dashboards is controlled by the Reports permission within your CRM profile. Administrators can grant or restrict dashboard access at the profile level. Individual dashboard components can be shared across your organisation or kept private, and dashboards themselves can be marked as default views for specific teams.
