Once you have built and tested your agent, the next step is deployment. Zoho Zia Agents offers two distinct deployment paths to suit different use cases. Before going live, it is important to complete your testing using the test window on the agent details page to make sure everything behaves as expected.
There are two ways to deploy your agent, each suited to a different operational model. You can choose the method that best matches how your agent will interact with your Zoho environment.
This is the standard deployment path and is recommended for most initial deployments. The process involves reviewing how parameters are mapped and then associating service connections — such as Zoho CRM, Zoho Desk, or other integrated services. Connections can be configured directly from the agent details page or set up in advance through the Settings area. This method is faster to configure and makes subsequent adjustments straightforward.
This option allows the agent to operate as its own user within a Zoho product, complete with a defined name, email address, and role. Rather than acting on behalf of an existing user, the agent functions as an independent entity within your organisation. This feature is rolling out gradually and availability may be limited at present.
Once your agent is live, the agent details page shows the current deployment status at a glance. From there, you have access to several ongoing management tools:
The combination of version history and observability tools means you can iterate on your agent with confidence, rolling back to a previous version if a change introduces issues.
