Zoho CRM's global search has grown well beyond a basic keyword lookup, now combining more precise search results, quick follow-up actions, and a full conversational assistant in Ask Zia.

Global search now returns more precise, relevant results, and lets you take common follow-up actions, such as updating a field or logging a note, directly from the search results themselves, rather than needing to open the full record first.
Ask Zia: a full conversational assistant
Ask Zia has developed into a genuine chat-based assistant, accessed from the vertical settings bar just below the search icon, supporting both text and voice input. It handles three distinct types of request:
- Insights. Retrieve data and view visual analytics based on a plain-language question.
- Help. Get guidance on CRM features, settings, and best practices without leaving the chat.
- Action. Perform tasks such as creating modules, configuring workflows, generating record or note summaries, or building reports, directly from the chat window.
Note: Ask Zia's availability and exact capabilities have expanded considerably since it first launched, moving from a narrower search-integrated feature with restricted edition and data centre availability, to a broader assistant now available from Professional edition and above. If you're on an older account, it's worth checking your current edition's Ask Zia capabilities directly, since this has changed more than once.

It's worth checking this directly rather than relying on a fixed list, since availability here is a moving target.
