Every paid edition of Zoho CRM includes two free full data backups per month at no extra cost, and you can set these up to run automatically on a recurring schedule.
How to schedule your free backups
- Open Data Backup. Go to Setup, then Data Administration, then Data Backup.
- Choose your frequency. Under Repeat, select Twice a Month to use both of your free backups.
- Pick your days. With the twice-a-month option, you can choose which day of the week each backup should run on.
- Save. Save your schedule, and the backups will run automatically from then on.
Note: You can also choose Once a Month instead, selecting either a specific date or a specific day, which leaves you with one additional backup available on demand within that month. If you need more frequent backups than the free allowance covers, additional backups can be purchased as an add-on.
What you get
A scheduled backup captures your full CRM data, including attachments, compressed into a ZIP file. When each backup completes, the account's admin receives an email with download links, and those links remain valid for 7 days, so it's worth downloading promptly rather than letting them expire.
