Displaying £ and Thousands Separators in Zoho CRM Reports

How to Display £ and a Comma Thousands Separator in a Zoho CRM Matrix Report

Currency values in Zoho CRM, including within matrix reports, follow the formatting rules set on the currency itself under Setup, so getting the £ symbol and comma thousands separator to display correctly is a currency configuration question rather than something set on the report itself.

Where currency formatting is controlled

  1. Open Currencies. Go to Setup, then General, then Currencies.
  2. Select or add your currency. If GBP isn't already your base or an added currency, add it with the Multi-Currency feature (Enterprise edition and above), or check the base currency settings if GBP is already your only currency.
  3. Set the format. Configure the currency Symbol (£), Thousand Separator (Comma), Decimal Separator (Period), and Decimal Places (typically 2) to match standard UK formatting.

Once set correctly at the currency level, any Currency field, including totals shown in a matrix report, should display using that same symbol and separator formatting.

A known limitation to be aware of: Some users have reported that Zoho has, on occasion, applied backend changes to a region's default number grouping (for example moving a currency from Western-style thousands grouping to a different regional grouping convention) that couldn't be overridden through the customisation options, with Zoho support confirming this as an unchangeable backend setting for that case. If your currency formatting looks correct in Setup but still displays incorrectly in reports, this kind of backend override, rather than a report bug, could be the cause, and is worth raising directly with Zoho support if it affects you.
