A clear logo and a matching favicon are two of the simplest ways to make a website look professional and recognisable. The favicon is the small icon that appears in a visitor's browser tab, and together with your logo it helps people identify your site at a glance. Zoho Sites allows you to set both from a single settings screen.
Steps to add your logo and favicon
- Open Site Options. Go to Configuration and then Site Options.
- Find Logo & Favicon. Under Preferences, scroll down and select Logo & Favicon.
- Start the upload. Click Change Logo to update your logo, and Upload Favicon to add or replace your favicon.
- Choose your image. Select an existing image from your files, or upload a new one from your computer, then click Save.
Logo and favicon file requirements
| Element | Requirement |
|---|
| Logo | Optimal size up to 500 pixels |
| Favicon | Square image in .png, .ico or .jpg format, no larger than 512 pixels per side |
Note: Because the favicon must be square, it is worth preparing a cropped, square version of your logo mark in advance rather than relying on Zoho Sites to crop it automatically for you.
Why branding matters
A consistent logo and favicon reinforce trust and brand recognition every time a visitor sees your website, whether that is on the page itself or as one of several open browser tabs. Getting the file formats and sizing right the first time also avoids blurry or stretched branding once the site is live.
