To make meetings easier to scan at a glance, you can colour code the values of a single picklist field in the Meetings module. This colour then shows consistently throughout your CRM.
Where the colours appear
Colour coded values are displayed in the CRM calendar, related lists on a record, the Activities module, reminders, the home page, list view, and kanban view.
Note: Only one picklist field per layout can be colour coded, with a maximum of 20 values coloured. Setting this up requires administrator access or Module Customisation permission.
How to colour code a picklist
- Open the module. Go to Setup, then Customization, then Modules and Fields, then click Meetings.
- Select the layout. Choose the Standard layout to add the picklist to.
- Add the field. Add or select a picklist field from the New Fields tray.
- Open its properties. Click the ellipsis on the picklist and select Edit Properties.
- Turn on colour coding. Select Enable Colour Coding for Picklist Values.
- Assign colours. Click the colour palette for each value, using the plus icon if you need more shades.
- Finish up. Click Done, then Done again.
A personal option: Individual users can adjust the colours used on their own account without affecting anyone else, under Calendar, then Options, then Preferences, then Colour Coding.
