How to Rebrand Your Zoho Desk Account: Logo, Favicon and Portal Name

How to Rebrand Your Zoho Desk Account

Every organisation has its own identity, from its logo to its portal name, and it makes sense for those details to carry through into the tools your team and customers use every day. Zoho Desk lets Support Administrators rebrand the help desk account so that the agent interface and the default Help Center reflect your own company rather than the default Zoho Desk branding.

Note: Rebranding requires the Support Administrator permission profile, and the settings covered here apply only to your agent interface and the default Help Center.

What you can rebrand

  • Your company logo, including a logo linkback URL and favicon
  • The portal name used to represent your Desk account
  • A company subdomain for ticket submission, used alongside the default Zoho Desk subdomain
  • Multiple brands, also known as departments, each with its own hosted Help Center

Personalising your company logo

Once uploaded, your company logo replaces the default Zoho Desk logo for every agent in the support portal and for customers viewing the Help Center. Administrators can update it whenever needed.

  1. Open Rebranding settings. Go to Setup, then Organization, then Rebranding.
  2. Upload the logo. In the Company Logo field, click Change, then Choose File, and select the image file.
  3. Save your changes. To change or remove the logo later, click on it and choose the relevant option.

Setting the logo linkback URL

The logo linkback URL is the page that customers are taken to if they click your logo in the Help Center, typically your company's website homepage.

Setting the favicon

The favicon is the small icon shown in the browser's address bar while a user is accessing the help desk. Both the linkback URL and the favicon are configured from the same Rebranding area.

  1. Open Rebranding settings. Go to Setup, then Organization, then Rebranding.
  2. Enter the linkback URL. On the Company Logo page, add the logo linkback URL.
  3. Upload the favicon. Under the Favicon section, browse to and select your favicon file.
  4. Click Save. To change or delete the favicon afterwards, click on it and choose the relevant option.

Maximum file size2 MB
Recommended logo dimensions200 pixels wide by 40 pixels high
Accepted file formats.jpg, .jpeg, .png or .gif

Changing your portal name

The portal name forms part of your help desk's web address, for example desk.zoho.com/support/yourcompany/. It is usually set when you first sign up, but it can be changed later from the same Rebranding area.

  1. Open Rebranding settings. Go to Setup, then Organization, then Rebranding.
  2. Select Portal Name. Under the Rebranding menu, click Portal Name.
  3. Enter the new name. On the Change Portal Name page, type your chosen name.
  4. Click Save. Refresh your browser afterwards to see the change take effect.
Note: A portal name must be at least five characters long, and the change takes effect immediately, meaning the old URL will stop working straight away with no automatic redirect. If your domain is already host mapped to your Zoho Desk address, changing the portal name will not affect that external facing URL. Given this, it is best to settle on a portal name early rather than changing it repeatedly.
