Zoho Contracts is Zoho's contract lifecycle management software. It helps a business create, review, approve, negotiate, sign, store, and renew its contracts in one place, instead of passing documents around by email and tracking dates in spreadsheets. It was announced as an early access product in September 2020. This article replaces that announcement with an overview of what it does now, based on Zoho's own material.
| Stage | What Zoho Contracts offers |
|---|---|
| Authoring | Predefined contract templates, such as NDAs and master service agreements, plus your own custom templates. A clause library and clause picker let authors search for and insert approved wording. |
| Review and approval | Internal review and approval workflows that you configure for each contract type, so that content is checked before it goes out. |
| Negotiation | Collaboration with the other party, including redlining, comments, and version control. |
| Signature | Zoho says a Zoho Contracts subscription includes Zoho Sign, so a finished contract can move straight into signing. |
| Storage and tracking | A central repository, with obligations tracked in each contract, and alerts before a contract renews or expires. |
| After signing | Amendments, renewals, extensions, and terminations, with versioning and activity history. |
| Reporting | Dashboards and analytics on your contracts. |
Administrators set the guard rails. They configure the clause library with legally approved wording, the contract type templates, the contract letter templates, and the approval workflow for each contract type. Authors then work inside those limits, which keeps language consistent.
Zoho's launch material describes a Zoho CRM integration in the first version: a sales agent can start a contract from the related section of a deal record, and follow its status from CRM. Zoho lists other integrations with its own applications, such as Zoho Books and Zoho Sign, and with third-party software. Check which are available to you, as the details change.
