Can't Find a Zoho Feature? Beta, Rollout, or Region

Missing a Feature or Functionality? Beta, Rollout, or Region

The issue

A feature you've read about, seen in a demo, or spotted a colleague using simply isn't there in your own account, even though everything else about your setup looks correct.

The workaround

Before assuming something is broken, it's worth checking three separate explanations, since any one of them can mean a feature simply isn't visible to you yet.

1. It's in Beta or Early Access

Zoho regularly trials new functionality through Beta or Early Access programmes before releasing it generally. These often need to be actively opted into, either by an admin enrolling the organisation, or by the feature simply not having reached your account's cohort yet.

2. It's mid-rollout

Zoho typically releases new features in phases rather than to every account simultaneously, and this rollout can also vary by data centre. So a feature can be genuinely live and announced, whilst still not having reached your specific account or region yet. This is a normal part of how larger platform updates are deployed, not a fault.

3. It's region or edition specific

Some Zoho products come in different regional editions with genuinely different feature sets, rather than the same product simply being localised. Zoho Books is a good example: it currently has around 15 country-specific editions plus a Global edition, each with its own tax and compliance module built for that region's rules. A feature that exists in the UK edition may not exist at all in the Global edition, and vice versa, because the underlying compliance requirements are different, not because anything is missing or broken.

What to check

  1. Search Zoho's official release notes or "What's New" page for the product in question, to confirm whether the feature has actually been announced yet.
  2. Ask your account's super admin whether the organisation is enrolled in any relevant Beta or Early Access programme.
  3. Confirm which country or regional edition your account is set to, since this cannot usually be changed later and directly affects which features are available.
Note: If a feature genuinely has been announced, is not Beta-restricted, and your edition should support it, a support ticket is worth raising, since at that point it's more likely a genuine rollout delay worth flagging than something you need to change on your end.
