Site24x7 has introduced AI-assisted support, aimed at resolving support requests faster. As part of this, relevant configuration, performance, and log data tied to your specific support request can be shared with OpenAI for processing, in order to generate a root cause analysis or recommendations for resolving the issue.
What Actually Gets Shared
When a support request is raised, the findings from that request, along with only the necessary configuration, performance, or log data relevant to it, are shared with AI. This isn't a blanket sharing of all your monitoring data; it's scoped specifically to what's needed to help resolve the particular issue you've raised.
Safeguards in Place
- PII masking. All sensitive data, including personally identifiable information, is masked before being shared with AI.
- Purpose-limited use. Data is used only for the specific support or debugging purpose it was shared for, and is not used to train or improve AI models.
- Guardrails. Controls are in place to ensure data is handled securely and used only for its intended purpose.
This Is Opt-In, and You Can Turn It Off
Sharing your data with AI for support assistance is your choice, and it can be disabled at any time.
- Go to Admin, then My Account.
- Find the "I agree to share my data with AI for support assistance" field, and select No.
Worth considering before opting out: If you disable this, your support requests will presumably be handled through the standard, non-AI-assisted process instead, which may take longer for complex issues that benefit from automated root cause analysis. Weigh this against your organisation's own data-sharing policies and any regulatory requirements that apply to you.
