Ask Zia is a natural language interface built into Zoho Analytics that allows you to generate reports, dashboards, and data insights simply by typing or speaking a question. Instead of manually selecting chart types and dragging columns into shelves, you describe what you want to see and Zia builds it for you.

Accessing Ask Zia

Ask Zia is available from the Ask Zia Portal within your Zoho Analytics workspace. You can also invoke Zia from within individual reports and dashboards using the Zia icon. Once open, type your question in the prompt field or select from Zia's auto-suggested questions based on the data available in your workspace.

What You Can Request

Ask Zia can generate the following in response to a natural language prompt:

• Reports: Charts, tables, pivot views, and summary views tailored to your analytical question.
• Dashboards: Multi-report views with layout and theme options, built from a single description.
• Slideshows: Narrative presentations combining charts with automated written commentary.
• Data insights: Explanations of what happened, why it happened, and what is likely to happen based on historical patterns.

How Zia Interprets Your Question

When you submit a query, Zia displays its reasoning steps so you can follow how it arrived at the result. It identifies the relevant tables, interprets the metrics and dimensions you mentioned, determines the appropriate aggregation method, and selects the most suitable visualisation type. Key highlights and patterns are surfaced automatically in a summary alongside the output.

Working with Zia's Responses

After Zia generates a report or dashboard, you can:

• Change the chart type to an alternative format.
• Adjust filters, time periods, or groupings using follow-up prompts in the same conversation.
• Add the report directly to an existing dashboard using the Add to Dashboard option.
• Export the result as a CSV, PDF, or image file.
• Rate the response using thumbs up or down to help improve Zia's future performance.
