Auto Analysis is an AI-powered feature in Zoho Analytics that takes you from raw data to meaningful insights in minutes. By combining generative AI, machine learning, and natural language processing, it examines your data structure and automatically generates a set of relevant reports and dashboards without requiring you to build them manually.

How Auto Analysis Works

When you import a new table, Zoho Analytics analyses the data schema to identify important metrics, dimensions, and date columns. It then generates a selection of reports and dashboard categories based on the analytical potential of your data. If your workspace contains multiple tables with defined lookup relationships, Auto Analysis considers those connections and produces cross-table insights as well.

Generating Dashboards with Auto Analysis

1. Import a table into your Zoho Analytics workspace.
2. When prompted, accept the Auto Analysis suggestion or navigate to the table and select Auto Analysis from the options menu.
3. Preview the auto-generated dashboard categories and the reports included in each.
4. Optionally, customise which columns to include or exclude from the analysis before saving.
5. Select the dashboards you want to keep and click Save to add them to your workspace.

Similar Table Analysis

The Similar to Another Table option allows you to generate reports for a new table by mirroring the structure of existing dashboards built on a comparable dataset. This is useful when you import updated data on a regular basis and want consistent reporting across periods. The source and destination tables must have matching column names and data types for this feature to work correctly.

Ask Zia Integration

Auto Analysis integrates with Ask Zia, Zoho's natural language query interface. After generating your dashboards, you can ask Zia follow-up questions in plain English to dive deeper into specific areas of the data without building additional reports manually.

Access Requirements

Auto Analysis is available to workspace administrators and users with a custom role that includes permissions to create reports, dashboards, folders, and formula columns. Standard viewers do not have access to this feature.
