Feeds in Zoho CRM is a collaboration tool that provides a real-time activity stream of updates on the records you care about. Similar in concept to a social media news feed, it surfaces changes, notes, and messages related to leads, contacts, accounts, deals, and other records so that your team can stay informed and respond quickly without having to check each record individually.
Your feed shows updates on records you are following or that you own. These updates include field changes (such as a deal stage moving to Negotiation), new notes added by colleagues, task completions, email interactions, and mentions of your name by a teammate. Each update shows who made the change, what changed, and when, giving you full context without opening the record itself.
You can manually follow any record in Zoho CRM by clicking the Follow button on the record detail page. Once you follow a record, all activity on it appears in your feed. You automatically follow records you own or create, and you can unfollow any record at any time. Following is useful for keeping tabs on high-priority deals or key accounts even if you are not the owner of those records.
Administrators can configure auto-follow rules that automatically add users to the follower list for a record when specified conditions are met. For example, you could set a rule so that a sales manager automatically follows any deal above a certain value, or so that all members of a team are added as followers when a lead is converted. Auto-follow rules reduce the manual effort of keeping the right people informed.
You can post messages directly in the Feeds section, either as a general update or in the context of a specific record. Use the @ symbol followed by a colleague's name to mention them, which sends them a notification and draws their attention to the update. This is helpful for flagging actions, asking a quick question about a deal, or handing off responsibility to another team member.
Each user can adjust their Feeds preferences to control which types of updates appear in their stream. You can choose to show or hide specific event types, filter by module, and manage notification preferences. This keeps the feed relevant and avoids overload from low-priority updates on records you are following for reference only.
