Whether Zoho Wallet credits can go towards a Zoho One subscription depends on the type of credit you hold and where you currently stand as a Zoho customer. The rules differ for brand new users, existing users of individual Zoho apps, and those on Zoho's start-up scheme, so it is worth checking which category applies before you try to redeem anything at checkout.
Who Can Use Wallet Credits on Zoho One
- Brand new to Zoho: If you have never held a paid Zoho subscription before, any promotional or welcome wallet credit in your account can be put towards a Zoho One purchase.
- Already an active Zoho customer: If you are already paying for a standalone product such as Zoho CRM, Bigin or Zoho Books, promotional wallet credits cannot be used to buy Zoho One. If you are already a Zoho One subscriber, your wallet credits can only be redeemed against standalone Zoho products bought outside the bundle, not the bundle itself.
- Start-up scheme credits: Credits issued through Zoho's start-up initiative are treated separately from ordinary promotional credits, and our understanding is that they can generally still be put towards Zoho One even if you already have an established account. We would recommend confirming this directly with Zoho or your partner before relying on it, as we have not been able to verify this point against Zoho's published terms.
Limits That Apply Even When You Are Eligible
- Cap on annual plans. When credits are applied to an annual subscription, Zoho restricts the amount to whichever is lower: up to 50% of the invoice total, or a maximum of approximately $200 per transaction. The exact figure can vary by region and by the specific promotion, so it is worth checking the amount shown at your own checkout.
- You must select the option at checkout. Wallet credits are not applied automatically. You need to tick the "Use my existing wallet credits" box on the subscription or upgrade page before you confirm payment.
- Credits carry no cash value. Wallet credits cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred out of your account to a third party, or refunded if you later downgrade or cancel the subscription they were used on.
Note: Wallet credit rules can change and eligibility is ultimately decided by Zoho at the point of purchase. Always check the terms shown on your own account before assuming a credit will apply.
