Zoho has extended its recent visual refresh of activity detail pages to the Create pages for Tasks, Calls, and Meetings in Zoho CRM. Alongside the visual changes, several fields and options have been repositioned so that commonly used settings are easier to find and the creation flow stays within a single view.
The create pop-up no longer uses a fixed height. Instead, it resizes based on the available screen space and the number of fields in the layout you are using, so it makes better use of the screen regardless of your screen size or the layout applied.
Actions that previously opened a separate page during activity creation now open as a pop-up within the same create screen. This means you can complete those actions without leaving the creation flow or losing context.
The Repeat field in Tasks and Meetings has been streamlined to provide a simpler way of setting up recurrence. A small number of custom repeat preferences have been removed so that the feature aligns with the global iCalendar standard. The same recurrence patterns remain achievable using the standard repeat options, in the same way most other calendar applications handle recurring events.
When a meeting is marked as All Day, you can now choose a specific time for its reminder, rather than relying on a fixed default. This gives more control over exactly when you are notified about all-day meetings.
In the Tasks module, the Send Notification option has moved out of the page header and into the Owner field section. This places it nearer to the related activity details and brings it in line with how other field-based options are presented.
The Meetings module now displays Contact Name and Related To as two distinct fields, matching how they already appear in Calls and Tasks. This should make it clearer which record you are naming as the contact and which record the activity relates to.
None of these changes affect the underlying data or automation tied to Tasks, Calls, or Meetings, they are focused on how the create screens look and behave. If your team relies on a custom repeat pattern that is no longer available, it is worth checking whether the standard repeat options now cover it before assuming a workflow has broken.
