What the Google Analytics Integration Tracks in Zoho Campaigns

The Google Analytics integration in Zoho Campaigns tracks how your email campaigns drive traffic and behaviour on your website, once a recipient clicks through from your email.

What it tracks

Once enabled and set up on a campaign, links in your email are tagged with UTM tracking parameters (source, medium, and campaign name) that Google Analytics recognises. This lets you see, within Google Analytics, exactly which campaign sent a visitor to your site, what pages they viewed once there, and whether they went on to convert, rather than just seeing them as generic "referral" traffic.

How to enable it

  1. Connect your Google Analytics account. Link Zoho Campaigns to the Google Analytics property for your website.
  2. Enable tracking on the campaign. When creating a campaign, turn on the Track URLs using Google Analytics option before sending.
Note: This tracks what happens on your website after a click, not what happens inside the email itself. Opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes are tracked natively within Zoho Campaigns' own reporting, separate from what Google Analytics can see.
