The Codeless bot builder is one of three native bot-building platforms inside Zoho SalesIQ, designed specifically for people without coding experience.

How it works

Rather than writing scripts, you build a rule-based chatbot by dragging and dropping blocks, such as name, email, calendar, and location fields, into a flowchart-style conversation. Each block collects a specific piece of information or performs an action, letting you design the entire conversation visually rather than programmatically.

What it's good for

• Automating repetitive tasks. Frees operators from answering the same routine questions over and over.
• Predictable, secure behaviour. Since the bot only follows the predefined blocks and keywords you configure, there's little risk of it behaving unpredictably or exposing your business to unexpected inputs.

How it compares to the other platforms

SalesIQ Scripts, the alternative native platform, uses Deluge, Zoho's own scripting language, giving developers more flexibility at the cost of needing to write code. The Codeless platform sits apart from all of these by requiring no code whatsoever, at the cost of being rule-based rather than capable of the more open-ended logic a scripted bot can achieve.
