Zoho's refund policy differs slightly depending on whether you're on a monthly or annual subscription, and it extends well beyond just the initial sign-up period.
If you're dissatisfied within your first month, contact Zoho. They'll try to address your issue or provide a workaround; if you're still unhappy, you'll receive a full refund and your account will be downgraded to the free plan.
Zoho doesn't require an annual commitment to use its services; it's offered in exchange for a discount over the monthly rate. If you're dissatisfied at any point within the first 45 days, the same process applies: Zoho works to resolve the issue, and if that doesn't succeed, issues a full refund and downgrades your account to free.
Zoho's stated aim is satisfaction throughout your entire contract, not only the first 30 or 45 days. If, at any point during your contract, Zoho removes, breaks, or discontinues functionality that was available when you signed up, you're asked to notify them immediately. If the issue isn't resolved within a promised timeline, or no satisfactory workaround is offered, Zoho will provide a pro-rated refund for the remainder of your contract.
If you want to partially downgrade an annual subscription, such as reducing user licences, downgrading the edition, or removing an add-on, this is also covered under the policy, though the specific mechanics differ from a full refund.
Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled, with Zoho notifying you of the upcoming charge beforehand and sending a receipt afterward. If you forget to cancel and are charged anyway, you can still cancel and receive a full refund within 5 business days of renewal for monthly subscriptions, or 15 days for annual subscriptions. Requests made after these windows are not honoured.
