Zoho CRM Event End Time Dropdown Limitation

Why Is the Event End Time Limited in the Zoho CRM Dropdown?

When creating an Event in Zoho CRM, the End Time dropdown historically only offered options within a limited window after your chosen Start Time, rather than the full 24-hour range, which caught out anyone trying to schedule a longer event directly from that dropdown.

Note: Zoho has since rolled out a complete visual overhaul of the CRM calendar as part of the wider CRM for Everyone redesign, described by Zoho as offering "a more intuitive and flexible scheduling experience." We can't confirm whether the older End Time dropdown limitation still applies in exactly the same way on the current calendar. If you're running into this, it's worth testing directly in your account, since the behaviour may have changed with the redesign.

Workarounds that should still work regardless

  • Type the time directly. Rather than relying on the dropdown's preset options, try typing your intended end time directly into the field.
  • Set the End Date separately. If your event genuinely spans more than a few hours, adjust the End Date field alongside the End Time, since some duration limitations are specifically about same-day time selection rather than the event's total length.
  • Use the All Day option. For events that run most or all of a working day, marking the event as All Day avoids the time dropdown entirely.
