Zia Insights is an AI-driven feature in Zoho Analytics that automatically generates written narratives from your data. Rather than simply presenting charts and tables, Zia translates your data into plain language stories that highlight key trends, anomalies, and recommendations. This makes analytics accessible to a wider audience, including non-technical stakeholders who prefer written summaries over visual dashboards.

Types of Insights

Zia Insights produces four distinct categories of narrative analysis:

Descriptive Insights

Descriptive insights summarise what has happened in your data. They provide a structured overview of performance metrics, comparisons between periods, and notable changes in key figures.

Predictive Insights

Predictive insights use historical patterns to forecast what is likely to happen next. Zia analyses trends in your data and generates narrative projections for future performance.

Diagnostic Insights

Diagnostic insights explain why changes have occurred by identifying key drivers behind your data movements. This type of analysis uses machine learning to surface the factors that have had the greatest influence on a chosen metric.

Prescriptive Insights

Prescriptive insights go a step further by suggesting actions you could take based on what the data shows. These recommendations are generated with the assistance of OpenAI's language models and are presented in plain English.

Output Formats

Zia Insights can present its analysis in two output styles:

• Textual Narratives: Written paragraphs that explain the data in conversational language.
• Visual Narratives: A combination of charts and written commentary presented together for richer context.

Verbosity Settings

You can control how detailed the generated narratives are by adjusting the verbosity level:

• Low: Concise summaries with only the most important points.
• Medium: A balanced level of detail suitable for most business contexts.
• High: Comprehensive narratives covering all observed trends and data points.

Requirements and Availability

• Zia Insights is available to Account Admins, Organisation Admins, and Workspace Admins.
• Your report must include at least one metric column and one dimensional column for insights to be generated.
• Narratives are currently supported in English, Spanish, and French.
