Zia Trend Analysis

Zia Trend Analysis

Sales teams generate a continuous stream of activity data — leads created, deals closed, emails sent, calls logged, tasks completed. That volume of data contains patterns that are difficult to see in real time: a gradual drop in lead creation that preceded a slow pipeline quarter, a sudden spike in email activity that reflects a campaign launch, a period of inactivity in deal closures that signalled team capacity issues. By the time these patterns are visible in a monthly report, the opportunity to act has typically passed.

Zia Trend Analysis addresses this by monitoring your CRM activity metrics continuously and comparing them against historical patterns. When Zia detects a significant deviation from expected behaviour — whether positive or negative — it surfaces an alert directly in your dashboard, giving managers and team leads the visibility to respond before the underlying issue compounds.

Eleven Pre-Built Trend Components

Zia monitors the following activity metrics across your CRM, each tracked as a separate trend component on the Trend Dashboard:

  • Leads Created — volume of new lead records added per period
  • Contacts Created — new contact records added per period
  • Deals Created — new deal/opportunity records opened
  • Deals Closed — deals moved to a closed stage (won or lost)
  • Tasks Created — activity tasks added across all modules
  • Tasks Closed — tasks marked as completed
  • Events Created — meetings and calendar events logged
  • Events Closed — events completed or passed
  • Calls Created — call activity records logged
  • Notes Added — manual notes attached to records
  • Emails Sent — outbound emails logged via CRM

Reading the Trend Dashboard

Each trend component is visualised as a chart showing three overlaid data sets:

  • Trend line: The expected pattern based on Zia’s analysis of your historical data — what activity levels should look like at any given point.
  • Actual line: The real-time activity data plotted against the trend, showing where current behaviour deviates from the expected pattern.
  • Anomaly markers: Red circles placed at specific data points where Zia has detected a significant deviation — either significantly above or below the trend line — indicating a moment that warrants investigation.

The Trend Dashboard is accessed via Home › Dashboards › Trend Dashboards. Viewing it requires the reports and dashboards permission. Each trend component can be expanded to view the underlying data and the specific anomaly details that Zia has identified.

Three Notification Types

When Zia detects a notable deviation in a trend component, it generates one of three notification types depending on the nature and severity of the change:

  • Alerts: Significant negative deviations requiring immediate attention — a sharp drop in deals closed, an unusual fall in leads created, or another metric moving strongly against trend.
  • Attention: Moderate deviations worth monitoring — a gradual decline or a developing pattern that has not yet reached alert severity but should be watched closely.
  • Tips: Positive or advisory observations — a spike above trend that may reflect a campaign or initiative, or a pattern that could be replicated to drive further improvement.
Note: Trend notifications remain active for 15 days from the point at which they are generated. After 15 days, they are automatically removed. The Trend Dashboard therefore reflects recent and current anomalies rather than accumulating a backlog of historical alerts.
