Zobot Changelog: Recent Feature Updates in Zoho SalesIQ

Zobot Changelog

Zoho SalesIQ's Zobot platform has picked up a steady stream of new capabilities over time. Here are some of the more significant additions worth knowing about if you built a bot a while ago and haven't checked in since.

AI and language capabilities

  • BYOAI (Bring Your Own AI). Connect the AI provider your organisation already uses, rather than being tied to a single vendor.
  • Generative Answer Bot. Answer Bot no longer just suggests matching help articles. It now reads, summarises, and delivers a precise answer tailored to the visitor's specific question, drawn from your knowledge base content.
  • Auto-translate bot flow. Bot conversations can now be automatically translated, alongside 30-language support across both Zobot and Answer Bot.

Portability and management

  • Bot import and export. Move a bot built with the Codeless Bot Builder from one SalesIQ account or brand to another, useful for scaling a proven bot without rebuilding it from scratch.
  • Bot logs and flow reports. Track interaction trends and spot exactly where visitors drop off within a bot's flow.
  • Operator call handoff. Hand a bot conversation off to a live operator call when needed.

Channels

Zobot support has expanded across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Telegram, with all bot-building platforms, Codeless, SalesIQ Scripts, Zia Skills, Dialogflow, Azure, and Watson, supporting the same channel compatibility, so a bot built once can run consistently across whichever channels you deploy it on.

Conversation and content features

  • Carousel cards. Both display carousels for showcasing products and input carousels for collecting visitor responses, in a swipeable, visually engaging format.
  • Send Email card. Configure email templates directly within the Codeless bot builder's send email action.
  • Files input card. Collect files or attachments from visitors mid-conversation, supported across all bot-building platforms.
  • Zoho Checkout and Zoho Bookings integration. Take instant payments, or let visitors book an appointment for their preferred date and time, directly within a Codeless bot conversation.

Working hours and handoff behaviour

A "When operators are offline during business hours" option now lets a bot run specifically to cover gaps when your human operators aren't available, even during otherwise open hours. Chat notifications for bot transfer and forward actions have also been replaced with a clearer join chat option.
