Zoho Connect is Zoho's internal social network and employee collaboration platform. Within Zoho One, it provides a dedicated space for company-wide announcements, team forums, knowledge sharing, and employee engagement, separate from the task-focused communication in Zoho Cliq.
Zoho Connect offers a feed-based interface similar in concept to enterprise social networks, where employees can post updates, share files, create polls, and respond to one another's posts. It includes dedicated sections for groups (closed or open communities around teams or topics), forums for threaded discussions, and pages for structured content such as company policies, onboarding guides, or departmental wikis. Administrators can make broadcast-style announcements that reach all employees.
Zoho Connect is provisioned through the Zoho One Admin Panel. Once enabled, employees access it from the app launcher using their single Zoho login. Given its role as a company-wide communication tool, most organisations provision Zoho Connect for all users rather than selected groups, though role-based access within Connect allows administrators to control who can create groups, post announcements, or manage pages.
Zoho Connect and Zoho Cliq serve complementary but distinct purposes. Cliq is designed for real-time, task-focused communication, similar to Slack or Microsoft Teams. Connect is better suited to asynchronous, community-style communication where the emphasis is on sharing knowledge, celebrating achievements, running company forums, and building organisational culture. Many businesses use both within Zoho One, with Cliq for day-to-day team chat and Connect for broader employee engagement.
Groups in Zoho Connect can be created for any team, project, or interest area within the organisation. Members can share updates, attach files, and engage in discussions within the group. Forums provide a more structured space for Q&A and ongoing conversations, with the ability to mark a reply as the best answer, making knowledge easy to find for others who have the same question later.
Zoho Connect's Pages feature functions as an internal knowledge base or wiki, allowing teams to create structured documents that remain accessible and searchable over time. This is useful for storing onboarding materials, process documentation, company policies, and reference information that employees need to find quickly without scrolling through a chat history.
