Zoho CRM Image Upload Field
Image Upload is a field type in Zoho CRM that lets a record store a photo, such as a product image or a contact's picture, directly on the record itself.
Current limits
- File size: Each image uploaded to an Image Upload field is limited to 1 MB.
- Formats: PNG, JPEG, JPG, GIF, and BMP.
- Number of fields: Limited to 2 Image Upload fields per module.
If you need larger images: Modern phone cameras routinely produce photos well over 1 MB, which is a common frustration for teams capturing site photos or product images on mobile. If this is a genuine constraint for your team, a File Upload field, which has a higher per-file limit, can be used to store larger images instead, though it displays as a downloadable file rather than an inline image preview.
Uploading via the API
The record photo API, which is separate from custom Image Upload fields, has its own limits: a maximum file size of 10 MB and a maximum resolution of 10 megapixels, and won't accept an upload to a record that's in a Locked state.
