A Job Sheet is a customisable form within the Services and Appointments modules that your team fills in to record what was actually done during a service visit, before marking the appointment as completed.
Job Sheets guide technicians or reps through capturing the specific information your business needs recorded for a service, such as parts replaced, inspection results, or work performed, ensuring this detail is captured consistently and isn't lost once the visit is over.
You can mark a Job Sheet as required for a particular service. Once set, completing the Job Sheet becomes mandatory before that appointment can be marked complete, and if Job Sheet is mandated at the organisation level, its description field also becomes a required field when updating an appointment via the API.
A heating engineering business creates a "Boiler Service" entry in the Services module, specifying availability, assigned engineers, and marking its Job Sheet as required. When a customer requests a boiler service, an appointment is created linking to that service and an engineer. At the scheduled time, the engineer visits, completes the work, and fills in the Job Sheet with the required details before the appointment can be marked complete.
