Zia Vision is Zoho CRM's image recognition capability, and it has grown well beyond simple image classification into a small suite of tools covering validation, deduplication, and text extraction.
Zia can automatically check whether images added to your records meet criteria you define, ensuring they're accurate, consistent, and of the quality you expect. Typical scenarios include a real estate company confirming that luxury villa photos actually show a swimming pool, or a manufacturer checking that product images consistently include the right components and exclude discontinued ones.
Zia can analyse facial images within a module and flag potential duplicates of a record's photo, showing up to 10 similar matches you have permission to view. This helps catch cases like a university alumni database where the same photo has ended up on more than one record, or an events team spotting a VIP attendee who's accidentally been entered more than once.
Built as an extension of Zia Vision, ICR extracts text directly from images, such as printed forms, and maps it into new or existing records, including tabulated values within subforms. You train Zia on the layout you need, then upload, verify, and save images as records.
Zia Vision's image validation is available from Professional edition and above, and requires the Image Validation permission under Setup permissions, Zia, on the relevant profile. Under this permission, users can manage configuration, meaning they can create, edit, enable, disable, or delete rules, though this must be turned on manually.
