Zoho Docs no longer exists. This question was originally about migrating from Zoho Docs to Zoho WorkDrive while both products still ran in parallel, but Zoho Docs was fully discontinued on 15 March 2023, with a final data access and migration cutoff of 15 May 2023. If you're reading this now, there's nothing left to migrate from, since Zoho Docs accounts and their data are no longer accessible at all.
What Happened
- Zoho had been actively moving customers from Docs to WorkDrive since WorkDrive's release in 2019, replacing Docs for new Zoho One and Workplace sign-ups well ahead of the final shutdown.
- On 15 March 2023, access to Zoho Docs was blocked for every user and account, including the Writer, Sheet, and Show homepages that relied on Docs for storage.
- Users who hadn't yet migrated were given until 15 May 2023 to complete the process, after which Docs access and its associated data were removed entirely.
If You're Still Using Zoho WorkDrive Today
WorkDrive is now the standard file management and collaboration platform across Zoho, and continues to work alongside Writer, Sheet, and Show for document storage and collaboration, without any Docs-related legacy to be aware of.
If you have old, un-migrated Zoho Docs data: Since access to Zoho Docs was fully removed as of May 2023, if you didn't complete the migration before that deadline, that data is very likely no longer recoverable through standard means. If this affects you and the data is genuinely important, it's worth contacting Zoho support directly to ask whether any recovery options still exist, though we can't offer any assurance either way.
