Zoho Payroll UK and the Zoho Finance Suite: Books, Expense, Practice and People

Zoho Payroll UK and the Zoho Finance Suite: Native Integrations with Books, Expense, Practice, and People

Payroll touches accounting, expenses, and people records, so how well it fits with the rest of your Zoho applications matters as much as its own features. This article explains how Zoho Payroll UK, which launched on 20 October 2026, connects with the Zoho finance suite and the wider Zoho ecosystem.

Available at Launch: Zoho Books and Zoho Expense

As with every other edition of Zoho Payroll, the UK edition comes natively integrated with Zoho Books and Zoho Expense.

  • Zoho Books. Payroll journals are posted to Zoho Books after each pay run, so your accounts reflect payroll without re-keying figures.
  • Zoho Expense. Approved employee expense reimbursements can be brought into the pay run, so staff are reimbursed through payroll.

Planned: Zoho Practice and Zoho People

Zoho has said it will also release native integrations with Zoho Practice and Zoho People. No dates have been given, and the launch announcement did not mention them, so treat both as planned rather than available.

How much is "native" in practice? Zoho describes these as native integrations. It has not described the setup steps, so don't promise a client that everything works with no configuration. Connect Zoho Books and Zoho Expense in a test organisation first, run a sample pay run, and check that the journals and reimbursements land where you expect before rolling it out.

Where It Fits

Zoho Books and Zoho Expense both sit within the Zoho finance suite, so a business already running its accounts and expenses in Zoho gets payroll connected to the same data. Whether Zoho Payroll UK will also be included in the finance bundle has not been announced; see which bundles will include Zoho Payroll UK.
