Partner Contacts in Zoho PRM

Zoho PRM: Partner Contacts

Partner Contacts are the individual users within each partner organisation who interact with your business through Zoho PRM. They access the Partner Portal and take part in partner activities such as deal registration and programme participation.

Each partner organisation is a Partner Account, and under each account you add one or more Partner Contacts as the main points of interaction between your business and the partner. The structure mirrors familiar account-and-contact relationships in CRM, which makes it easy to adopt and gives you a base for managing partner deals, programmes, and commissions as you grow.

Before you begin: Zoho PRM is designed for organisations that already have an identified, qualified list of partners. Make sure your partner organisations and their key users are finalised before you add them.

Creating a Partner Contact

First switch to Zoho PRM from the app menu, then:

  1. Go to the Partner Contacts module.
  2. Click Create Partner Contact. This creates one contact at a time.
  3. Fill in the required details, choose the Partner Account the contact belongs to, and save.

When you have many contacts to add, an import is quicker than creating them one by one.

What Happens Next

Once contacts exist, you can enrol them in partner programmes and let them take part in deal registration. Contacts are also who you invite to the Partner Portal.

See Standard Fields in Partner Contacts for the fields available, Partner Accounts for the organisation records they sit under, and Understanding Partner Programmes for enrolment.
