The Skill Set page lists every skill added to a Zoho Projects portal. Each skill can be linked to portal users or resources at an expertise level of Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. That gives an administrator a quick view of the team's capabilities, which helps with spotting needs, assigning tasks by expertise, and managing teams and workload.
A hospital is modernising its patient intake process in Zoho Projects and needs staff whose expertise is formally recorded. The clinical project manager adds skills such as emergency triage, surgical assistance, ICU management, and medication administration, and links each to the staff who hold it at a defined proficiency. This becomes a shared competency register across all projects. In the Users module, each user's skills appear as a column, so the project admin can see at once who covers expert-level triage and radiology. Critical patient-facing work goes to experienced staff, and other colleagues who can support the experts are easy to spot.
A person's skills show on their details page in the Users module, and as a column in the Portal Users or Resources list view. All skills together are shown in the Skill Set section of the Set Up page, under Customization.
Skill Set must be enabled first.
You can also add skills from the users list view.
Go to Users in the left navigation pane, then Portal Users or Resources. Open the details page (or choose Edit) for the person and click the Skill Set field to add skills. For a resource, click the Skill Set field in the form.
Alternatively, work from the skill itself. Under Customization, then Skill Set, hover over the skill and use the associate icon, search for and select users next to the skill set levels, and click Update. To remove people from a skill, use the same screen, remove them from the Skill Set Level field, and click Update.
