Zoho Subscriptions is a recurring billing and subscription management application designed for businesses that charge customers on a regular basis, whether monthly, annually, or on a custom schedule. As part of Zoho One, it can be activated through the Admin Panel and integrated with the wider suite, connecting billing data with your CRM, accounting, and customer communication tools.
What Zoho Subscriptions Covers
Zoho Subscriptions handles the complexity of recurring revenue operations so that businesses can focus on growing their subscriber base rather than managing billing manually.
- Subscription plans: Create tiered pricing plans with trial periods, setup fees, and add-ons to match your pricing model.
- Automated billing: Charge customers automatically on their billing cycle without manual intervention, with invoices generated and sent on schedule.
- Payment gateway support: Connect to payment providers to accept card payments, direct debits, and other methods globally.
- Dunning management: Automatically retry failed payments and send customers reminders to update payment details before their subscription lapses.
- Customer portal: Give subscribers self-service access to manage their plan, update payment methods, and view billing history.
- Revenue reporting: Track key metrics such as monthly recurring revenue, churn rate, and customer lifetime value through built-in dashboards.
Enabling Zoho Subscriptions in Zoho One
Zoho Subscriptions is provisioned through the Zoho One Admin Panel alongside the rest of the suite.
- Open the Admin Panel. Sign in to Zoho One and navigate to the Admin Panel.
- Go to Applications. Select the Applications section and locate Zoho Subscriptions.
- Activate the application. Enable Zoho Subscriptions for your organisation and complete any initial configuration prompts.
- Assign access to users. Use the Users section or conditional assignment rules to grant Subscriptions access to the finance or operations staff who will manage billing.
- Configure in Subscriptions. Users can launch Zoho Subscriptions from the app launcher to set up plans, connect payment gateways, and configure their billing workflows.
How Zoho Subscriptions Connects with the Suite
Within Zoho One, Zoho Subscriptions works alongside Zoho CRM, Zoho Books, and Zoho Campaigns. New subscribers can be automatically created as contacts in CRM, subscription invoices can sync with Zoho Books for accounting, and changes in subscription status can trigger targeted email campaigns through Zoho Campaigns. This prevents revenue and customer data from becoming siloed between departments.
Note: Pricing plan configuration, payment gateway connections, and customer portal settings are managed within the Zoho Subscriptions application, not through the Zoho One Admin Panel.
