Zoho WorkDrive offers two distinct desktop applications, and it's worth knowing the difference before choosing which one to install.
The original desktop client, which fully downloads your WorkDrive files to your local hard drive and keeps them synced with the cloud, similar to how Dropbox or Google Drive's desktop sync traditionally worked.
TrueSync creates a virtual drive of your entire WorkDrive account on your computer, letting you browse, open, and manage files without actually downloading them to your local storage. For example, with 250 GB of local hard drive space, TrueSync still lets you access and work with well over 1 TB of data sitting in WorkDrive, since files only download when you actually open them. Any changes are automatically synced back to WorkDrive.
Both apps are available from Zoho's official WorkDrive desktop apps page. Windows currently supports auto-updating to the latest TrueSync version, while Mac and Linux users may need to manually download and install updates. Zoho only marks a version as stable for auto-update after post-release validation, so if you need the very latest release immediately, a manual install may be the faster route.
