If you remember Zoho Subscriptions, the subscription billing tool in the Zoho Finance suite, and cannot find it any more, it has not been withdrawn. It became Zoho Billing. This article explains what changed and what did not.
In brief: Zoho announced Zoho Billing on 13 September 2023, as an expanded version of Zoho Subscriptions. Zoho assured existing customers that the data in their Zoho Subscriptions organisations was safe and unaffected.
Why Zoho changed it
Zoho Subscriptions was built for recurring billing: managing customers' subscriptions and tracking the figures that show how a subscription business is doing. Zoho said that business needs had moved on, and that many businesses now want one tool for every kind of billing, not only subscriptions. It therefore enhanced and expanded the product, with one-time billing as well as recurring.
What Zoho Billing added

| Reporting | More than 50 reports, covering accounts receivable, cash inflow, recurring revenue, and customer subscriptions. |
What happened since
Old links and screenshots. Older guides, videos, and web pages still say Zoho Subscriptions. Treat them as describing the same product, but expect menus and screens to differ. Plans and prices also changed with the rebrand, so we have left them out. Ask us for the current position.
If you still use the old name: our advice
This section is our own advice, not Zoho's.
- Search for Zoho Billing in Zoho's documentation and in the Zoho Marketplace, because new material will use that name.
- Review whether you are using the extra capabilities. If you invoice for projects or expenses in another tool, Zoho Billing may now cover it.
- Check your integrations, for example with Zoho CRM and your payment gateway, still work as you expect after any plan change.
