By default, Zoho Analytics uses the standard calendar year (January to December) for year-wise calculations. If your business runs a different fiscal year, you can adjust this at the Workspace level so all your year-based reports calculate correctly.
Setting Your Fiscal Year Start Month
- Click Settings from the side panel.
- Go to the General tab.
- Under Fiscal Year, choose your Starting Month, which is used for all year-wise calculations across every table and report in the Workspace.
- Choose your Year Display Format, either the year the fiscal year starts in, or the year it ends in. For example, a fiscal year running April 2025 to March 2026 can display as either 2025 or 2026, depending on which convention your business uses.
- Click Save.
Related Settings: Week Start Day and Fiscal Week
In the same General settings tab, you can also configure the start day of the week, defaulting to Sunday but changeable to any day, and the Week Mode, which sets the first week of your fiscal year using either ISO 8601 rules (the week with a minimum of 4 days counts as the first) or a simpler rule where the week containing the fiscal year's start month begins the count.
Formatting How Weeks Display in Reports
The Week & Year Format dropdown, also under General settings, lets you choose how weeks appear in your reports: Short ("W01 2026"), Medium ("Week 01 2026"), Long, or as a Start Date and End Date range, whichever suits your reporting style.
A known limitation worth flagging: Some users have reported that the user-facing date picker filter on shared reports always defaults to Sunday as the first day of the week, even when a different day has been configured as the Workspace default. If precise date-picker alignment matters for your reports, this is worth testing directly and raising with Zoho support if it affects you.
