Zoho One is no longer a single, one-size bundle. It now comes in two distinct editions, Essentials and Standard, and knowing which one you need matters before comparing feature-level details.
The Two Editions
- Essentials. A curated starting point for smaller companies beginning their digital journey, including core CRM, collaboration, basic marketing, customer service, finance, and HR tools, without the full breadth of the wider suite.
- Standard. The traditional, fuller Zoho One experience, including 50+ applications and every service needed for a company of any size to operate in a connected way, with web, mobile, and installed app versions plus browser extensions.
Note: A free trial gives you access to Zoho One's full potential regardless of which edition you eventually choose; you decide between Essentials and Standard once the trial ends.
Feature-Level Details Worth Knowing
Beyond the broad edition split, Zoho's Plan Details page tracks a genuinely large number of specific, granular limits and gates, for example:
- Survey campaigns can only be created on Enterprise edition and above within specific apps.
- Zoho Books, Invoice, Expense, Inventory, and Billing are grouped together as the finance suite.
- Default merge limits, function credits, and API call allowances scale with the number of employee licences purchased, rather than being a single flat figure across every organisation size.
- Some features, such as certain Zia capabilities, are currently available exclusively within a Sandbox environment rather than production.
