If you've forgotten your Zoho account password, you can reset it yourself using your recovery email address, mobile number, or a linked domain, without needing to contact support.
Before You Start
You'll need access to either the recovery email address or mobile number associated with your account, a OneAuth recovery device if you've set one up, or, if you're an organisation admin, a verified domain linked to your Zoho organisation. If your account has multi-factor authentication enabled, you'll also need to complete that verification.
Steps to Reset a Forgotten Password
- Go to the Zoho sign-in page and click Forgot Password.
- Enter your email address, mobile number, or username, and click Next.
- Enter the CAPTCHA shown, and click Next.
- You'll be prompted to try your last remembered password. If it matches, you can sign in directly, or still choose to reset it. If you don't remember it, click Continue to reset password.
- Verify it's genuinely you, either via an OTP sent to your recovery email or mobile number, or verification through a OneAuth recovery device.
- If MFA is enabled on your account, complete that verification step too.
- Enter and confirm your new password, then click Change Password.
- You'll be given the option to terminate existing sessions and API tokens as a security measure; do this if you're concerned your account may have been accessed by someone else.
If You Don't Have Access to Your Recovery Details
If you're a member of an organisation, your organisation's admin can reset your password for you directly. If you're the Super Admin yourself and have lost access, most Zoho products let another Administrator reset your password on your behalf, which is why it's worth having a secondary email address linked to admin accounts in case of exactly this scenario.
Note: Standard Admins cannot reset the Super Admin's password, for security reasons; only the Super Admin can reset their own, using their recovery details.
