If your business is on Zoho One with All-Employee pricing, it is reasonable to ask how Zoho Payroll UK, which launched on 20 October 2026, will be licensed and whether the number of employees you run payroll for will be checked against the number of Zoho One employee subscriptions you hold. This article gives Zoho's answers so far. The launch announcement itself did not add to them.
Not yet. Zoho's product team has said it has plans to add Zoho Payroll to Zoho One, and that it will let customers know when it has an update. No date has been given, and no terms have been given for how it would be included. Until Zoho confirms inclusion, treat Zoho Payroll UK as a separate product that sits alongside Zoho One.
Zoho's product team has also said that for existing Zoho One users it will be happy to extend the trial period until the app is included in Zoho One. That is a welcome offer for anyone who wants to test Zoho Payroll UK without paying separately first.
Zoho said before launch that where a customer is on All-Employee pricing within Zoho One, Zoho Payroll licensing will be linked to the number of Zoho One employee subscriptions. In plain terms, the number of employees you can run through payroll is tied to the number of employees you are licensed for in Zoho One. This applies once Zoho Payroll is part of Zoho One, which has not yet happened.
All-Employee pricing already requires you to licence every employee and to report your true headcount, and Zoho reserves the right to audit that. Linking payroll licensing to the same count is consistent with that model. See Zoho One employee count and audit requirement for the existing terms.
