Email integration connects your inbox directly to Zoho CRM, so every email you send or receive from a Lead or Contact appears against that record automatically, without manual logging.

Ways to connect your email

• Gmail and Google Workspace. Connects via OAuth, so you authorise access directly through Google's own sign-in, rather than entering a password into Zoho CRM.
• Microsoft 365 and Outlook. Also connects via OAuth, through Microsoft's sign-in. If your organisation restricts third-party app access, a Microsoft 365 admin may need to grant consent first.
• IMAP or POP for other providers. For providers not covered by a direct OAuth connection, you can configure IMAP or POP using your incoming and outgoing server details. If two-factor authentication is enabled on that account, you'll need an application-specific password rather than your normal login password.

Permissions needed

Users generally need Email Integration and Email and Chat Settings permissions enabled on their profile to connect their own inbox. Administrators have these by default, but it's worth checking that other profiles have them enabled if you want your wider team to connect their email too. Configuring organisation-wide email settings, such as shared templates or org-level relay settings, requires Administrator access.
