Is It Your Browser? Testing Incognito Mode and Clearing Your Cache

If your internet connection checked out fine but Zoho is still misbehaving, your browser is the next likely suspect. Old cached data, a stuck cookie, or a browser extension can all cause pages to display incorrectly or features to stop working.

Step 1: Try incognito or another browser

  1. Open an incognito or private window. This loads Zoho without your saved cookies, cache, or extensions, giving you a clean test.
  2. If the issue disappears in incognito mode, something in your normal browsing session, most likely cached data, is the cause.
  3. Still not working in incognito? Try a completely different browser (for example, Chrome instead of Edge). If the problem follows you across browsers, it's unlikely to be browser-related at all.

Step 2: Clear your cache

If incognito mode fixed the problem, clearing your browser's cache in your normal window should resolve it permanently.

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data > select "Cached images and files" > Clear data.
  • Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data > Choose what to clear > select "Cached images and files" > Clear now.
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data > select "Cached Web Content" > Clear.
  • Safari: Safari menu > Settings > Advanced > tick "Show features for web developers" > then Develop menu > Empty Caches.
Note: Clearing your cache will not delete saved passwords or bookmarks, but it may sign you out of some websites. That's expected and nothing to worry about.
