Zoho announced on 20 October 2026 that Zoho Payroll has officially launched in the United Kingdom. Zoho describes the UK edition as the 10th edition of Zoho Payroll, following editions for other markets. It is aimed at UK businesses that want one system for payroll processing, PAYE and National Insurance calculations, RTI reporting, workplace pensions, statutory payments, and employee self-service.
| Area | Zoho's statement |
|---|---|
| Launch | Officially launched in the United Kingdom on 20 October 2026, as the 10th edition of Zoho Payroll. |
| Built for | UK businesses specifically, rather than a general international edition. |
| Core payroll | Payroll processing, with PAYE and National Insurance calculations. |
| Reporting | RTI reporting. |
| Pensions and pay | Workplace pensions and statutory payments. |
| Employees | Employee self-service, "and more", which the announcement does not itemise. |
Zoho points to changing UK payroll requirements, naming changes to Statutory Sick Pay and the mandatory payrolling of Benefits in Kind, with changes it says come into effect from April 2027. Its argument is that businesses need payroll software that helps them stay compliant as these arrive. We have not independently checked the exact dates and scope of those changes, so confirm them against current HMRC and government guidance before relying on them with a client.
Zoho's product team has since said that it has plans to add Zoho Payroll to Zoho One, and that it will let customers know when it has an update. It has also said that for existing Zoho One users it will be happy to extend the trial period until the app is included in Zoho One. No date, trial length, or terms have been given. If you are a Zoho One customer, contact us at zoho@1cloudconsultants.com and we can help you request the extension.
The launch announcement is short. Most of the detail below comes from what Zoho said before launch, which the announcement did not repeat or change, so check anything you plan to promise a client.
Still unconfirmed anywhere we have seen: HMRC recognition of the software and the status of its RTI, Employment Allowance, and year-end filings, where payroll data is stored, whether Ireland is covered, since it has different payroll rules, and the general trial terms for customers who are not on Zoho One.
